This dawn shot faces north east from the eastern end of Acacia Ridge.It is a long climb up and I started out in the dark with a torch. Wanting to get the first light inspired this sort of craziness. It is a special experience as the dawn announces itself with the first glimmer of a dark red horizontal line which then develops into a golden glow.
Shooting into a bright light fogs the image, so as a counter this shot uses the top rhs foliage as a screen creating a foliage silhouette. Framed size: 75cmh x 58cmw. Edition 1/20. Book p.99
